Sweet, very aromatic vinegar made from a mixture of grape syrup and wine vinegar in the right proportions. It is also known as “kalogeristiko” (monastery vinegar), as, in the past it was produced in monasteries.

In our area, it was produced in the homes and was given the name “glykadi”, from the Greek word “glykos” meaning sweet, due to the sweet taste it got from the must. This vinegar is fermented in wooden casks, same as good wine, and a few drops of it is all you need to give your dishes a unique aroma and flavour. Our company proudly carries on this tradition exporting this select product of Messinia in many countries around the world.
